"You asked for me, captain?" *enters Chris' office*
"Yeah, you've got a new mission," *hands Piers a folder* "here's the brief."
*reads trough the document* "Wait a minute...it says here I'm the team captain."
"That's correct, I've been assigned to team Bravo because their captain is otherwise occupied as of now," *pauses for a moment* "Think you can handle it?"
"Yeah, sure," *shrugs* "so when will you be back?"
"..." *remains silent*
"This transfer of yours is temporary, right?" *looks at Chris with suspicion* "RIGHT?"
"Leading the Bravo team is temporary, but..." *hesitates for a moment* "Piers, I'm probably not coming back to Alpha."
"What do you mean you're not coming back?" *tenses up*
"I've been thinking about retirement for quite a while now," *clears throat* "I just think this might be a good opportunity to..."
"For God's sake Chris," *sigh in frustration* "you can't just shove a folder in my face and expecting me to be OK. Why didn't you talk to me about this?"
"Because I know you're not going to take it well." *frowns*
"Of course I'm not gonna take it well," *waves his arm* "we're partners, you're supposed to discuss this with me before making such a big decision!"
"What did you expect me to do?" *crosses his arms* "You wouldn't agree anyway."
"Because I'm not ready!" *yells* "You are just gonna ditch me like that?"
"Calm down, nobody is ditching you," *pinches nose* "besides, you could have been made captain long ago, if only I wasn't in your way."
"You were in my way?" *mocks Chris' words* "Do you even hear yourself?"
"Piers, watch your attitude, I'm still your superior." *clenches his jaw* "Now the discussion is over, you may dismiss, and this is an order."
"Pulling ranks, huh? Typical." *shake his head and grab the folder from Chris' desk then storms out*
*watches the office door shuts loudly, sighs*
Well, arguing, it's really not a moment that I want to capture from their life, and I guess not many of you want to see it.
But as a couple, they do fights lol. And since we don't think they would fight because of tiny disagreements or naive matters, something from their work seems more reasonable. So I hope this sounds decent to you guys and thanks for reading.
ps. I am glad I finally finish remodeling captain's office. :3

Not familiar with the characters but wanted to write a bit of continuation to this tale. Do Piers' parents exist as part of his story? Anyway wonderful pic and accompanying dialogue. Very well done. Shows depth of characters involved. The nuances of their relationship as fellow soldiers with love for each other.
